Glade Township Vol. Fire Dept.

To Respond – To Protect – To Help

Since the Glade Volunteer Fire Department’s founding in 1952, our purpose has always been to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Glade Township. We provide the most up-to-date offensive and defensive fire firefighting strategies and tactics to suppress and contain structural and wildland fires, as well as QRS for medical emergencies. Glade also specializes in Water Rescue Emergency Response, with a dedicated team ready to respond at a moments notice to the Conewango/Allegheny River shed.

We are a diverse group of men and women of different cultures and backgrounds brought together by a common goal: serving our community. We do this by having monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of every month and training every Tuesday. Training consists of practicing hose line advancements, pump operations, basic vehicle rescue, search and rescue, hazmat operations, forcible entry, and more. These trainings are conducted in controlled environments with safety being a primary goal and are overseen by lieutenants and captains with over 100 years of combined experience.

The highest honor one could have is to serve, and it’s been an honor and a privilege to serve the people of Glade Township. We have a duty to our neighbors and friends to keep them safe, and we are humbled by the opportunity to do so.
